This morning, I went into my son’s room to clean up a little.
At first, everything looked completely normal—clothes on the chair, toys in the corner, the usual small mess that somehow appears overnight.
Then, while cleaning under the bed, I noticed several pale pieces scattered near the wall.
At first glance, I assumed they were forgotten snack crumbs or bits of broken food.
But the moment I picked one up, something immediately felt strange.
Something About Them Felt Off
The texture confused me.
It wasn’t soft like cake.
It wasn’t dry like a biscuit.
And it definitely didn’t feel like cheese either.
The pieces were smooth but slightly crumbly at the edges, almost as if they had been snapped apart by hand.
I looked more carefully.
- Jagged broken edges
- A pale artificial-looking color
- A thin dusty white layer on the surface
Honestly, the appearance was unusual enough to make me stop cleaning completely.
For a moment, my imagination started running in every direction.
Was it food?
A craft material?
Something that shouldn’t even be there?
Trying to Understand
I sat there on the floor staring at the strange pieces, wondering how they had ended up hidden under the bed without anyone mentioning them.
The longer I looked, the stranger they seemed.
Then suddenly, I noticed something faint but familiar.
A soft sweet smell.
And that’s when everything finally started making sense.
