Yet, this isn’t the complete picture.

Understanding Blood Clots and Brain Health
Blood clotting is an essential biological process. When a blood vessel is damaged, platelets and clotting proteins work together to form a temporary seal that helps stop bleeding.
Without this system, even a minor injury could become dangerous.
Problems arise when a clot forms where it is not needed or becomes large enough to obstruct normal blood flow.

Suddenly consuming much more or much less vitamin K than usual can alter the medication’s effect.
This does not mean someone taking warfarin must stop eating green vegetables.

Vitamin E: More Is Not Always Better
Vitamin E is a fat-soluble antioxidant found naturally in foods such as nuts, seeds, vegetable oils, and some leafy vegetables.
Normal dietary intake is generally part of a healthy eating pattern.
However, high-dose vitamin E supplements may influence platelet activity and bleeding tendency in some people.
This becomes particularly relevant when vitamin E supplements are combined with anticoagulant or antiplatelet medications.
Potential concerns may include easier bruising or increased bleeding risk.
Vitamin K and vitamin E illustrate an important principle: the concern usually is not the vitamin itself, but the dose, the person’s medical history, and what medications are being taken at the same time.
